A New Home

There have been ups, and there have been downs, and everything in between.

And A Fresh New Start

Hello! Hola! Kon’nichiwa! Bonjour!

For around two years now, I wrote a few blog posts all on various categories on another blogging platform. In those same two years, a small following I acquired but nothing of notoriety to say the least. But it instilled confidence in my writing all the same. Then, the blog posts that were published were on various topics of various categories – a lack of self-direction became the theme over time. Now, following a few highs and a few lows, mostly lows, felt the time for a dedicated platform was at hand.

And here the platform is now. Here I am, breathing new life into my love for blogging.

Yesterday, I christened this new blogging platform with a short story I wrote a few years back called “The Traveler.” Fine-tuned by a few fellow independent authors happy enough to provide professional critique, published said short story for all the world to critique on their own. As a child, I always loved reading about far away, fantastical places; the surrounding neighborhood once held mysteries reminiscent of the same creatures and characters from the books I enjoyed reading most.

In my teens, like most teens, in fact, there was a time where that excitement experienced only a few short years prior waned, even if by a small margin. However, the troubles I faced all but forced that excitement into non-existence.

Fast forward a few more years into early adulthood, namely early 20’s, I met someone who a short time later became a great friend who was an aspiring writer herself. Bombarded with website forums, meetup information, and much more, quickly that same excitement I held as a child quickly resurfaced. Now, I’ll admit the scene was not something inspirational like you see in movies or on television, but it was enough to remind myself I could find that one long-lost voice once more.

Now as I begin on the journey through my 30’s, there is much I realize I still need to learn about the publishing world of today. There is a new hope to which I now hold onto: there are now many routes in which I can accomplish my publication goals.

If you want to join me throughout my life, travels, and my publication journey’s, please feel free to subscribe to my weekly newsletter. See you around!
