BookTok, Instagram and Facebook posts, book reviews, blog posts, it’s a whole mess. And I haven’t been able to keep up with it as of late. At least for my personal projects, that is. I’m going through several life-changing scenes all at once right now and I’m not sure when it’ll be over. But there’s hope.

Right now, I’m sitting on my couch while the air conditioning is blasting away and the fan turned on high. It’s a nice and chilly 115 degrees Fahrenheit as I type this line at 7:00 PM!! Guilty pleasure BBC comedy/drama “Shakespeare & Hathaway” is playing on the TV. Greckels chirp outside on the branches above my back patio. Not exactly “picturesque” or dreamy but it’s nice for where my home is located for the time being.

One of the hardest things for me at this point is keeping to a schedule, especially when being a single dad, work-from-home small business owner, working a second job all the while. Keeping to a writing schedule has been the hardest above all. Writing is a passion of mine and I incredibly want to finish writing my Dungeons & Dragons inspired KidLit book. Alas, finding the time to write without sacrificing adequate sleep is rare.

Walking through my local library was oddly inspirational, too. They took the opportunity presented to them during the 2020 lock-down mandates to remodel and expand several critical areas. It felt like what I would call home. What’s more, the way this remodel made me feel gave me a few new ideas for how I can accomplish my writing goals this coming week and months.

Lastly, I finally upgraded my smartphone from the Samsung Galaxy S8 to the Galaxy S21; such a massive improvement! Some of its default features may help in positing more videos on Instagram and TikTok.
