First, Newsletter News

Hello! Hola! Kon’nichiwa! Bonjour!

Starting on Sunday, April 26th, 2020, I’ll be sending out the new official newsletters once a week. This will not disrupt getting post updates as soon as they’re published here. If you haven’t already, please subscribe to my free newsletter today to stay up to date with the latest blog posts, short stories, and more.

The new newsletter format will be easier to read and optimized for mobile and tablet screens.

Now, Writing News

Beginning on Monday, April 27th, 2020, I am writing new children’s books. After speaking directly with the Editor-in-Chief and President of a local publishing house, I gained new insights into what stories they’re looking for, and how a current rough draft can be rewritten to better suit their vision.

As some of you may already be aware, I self-published Over The Creek on Amazon (Kindle Direct Publishing) several months prior. Sadly, it wasn’t until weeks later I discovered the still surmounting issues with Amazon and their publishing service. Because of the issues, I’ve decided to dedicate my future writing directly for traditional publishing. Yes, this may take much longer, but I’m more about the quality of the book and its future than worry about sales at this point.

This project beginning on Monday will have a focus on mental health – how it impacts children between the ages of three and seven years old all the while keeping it relatable, and comforting. We shall see what Monday brings. Let’s hope a new energy is discovered, bringing the story to life before my fingertips.

These are two places I would like to visit the next two times I’m there. Crater Lake will be easier for visiting this year, though.

I wanted to do this flash fiction piece for #FlashFictionFriday but decided halfway through I would turn it into something…a little more.
